In 1990 the short private grass runway at Footlight Ranch underwent a
facelift; lengthened and broadened, flattened and smoothed. With the addition
of lights, Shreveport North was born.

In the years since, Shreveport North has entertained pilots and their
families hailing from every state on the eastern seaboard and from as far away
as Texas.

But that's not all. Shreveport North is also a "planned" Aviation
Community, offering the opportunity to live with your airplane in your front
yard. Today, visitors will see the first home - that of Shreveport North's hosts,
John and Olga Shreve - with John's vintage Cessna 195 parked "out front". A
dream-come-true for pilots - an idea who's time has come.
